I play with henchies, except for the couple of missions that are too difficult to do with henchies and I did all the quests as well, well I only did one side with each char so yeah I skipped one mission and a few quests with each char,

But when you're there you basically done - and you can do the last two missions with henchies as well.

Some people are talking like Nightfall comes out in 5 weeks..
Dont forget IF they respect the deadlines, Nightfall is out somewhere near Octbore 28. You still got 2 months and a half before its out.
And that is only IF they respect the deadlines.

As much as I will enjoy the new content, skills, and professions, I do hope I can have time to finish unlocking all factions skills and getting rank 6 before it comes out and not have to worry about keeping pace with my guildies.

They're probably trying to time the release of Night Fall with the release of Next Gen consoles and the release of Phantasy Star Universe (mmorpg), hoping they can beat out the competition.

I play mostly PvE and I feel that it is too soon. I understand it from a financial point of view -- no monthly fee = more expansions (which also equals less content per expansion ).
I'm not even done with Factions yet -- I just beat it with my main 2 or 3 days ago, and I haven't yet explored any of the Luxon side (all the quests have kept me busy even though I don't like how they're "go here, then go back through here, then go here again, etc. etc.").
I haven't even really started looking at Factions skills as I've been working through missions/quests or working on titles most of the time. Maybe I just play through the game slower than most... I'm sure slower than the more PvP-oriented types.
I thought the pace was just right with Ch1 - Ch2 (1 year). But then again they did have the Sorrow's Furnace addition, so maybe it was due to that... I just hope they make Ch3 really good - new content, new ideas, more testing - and don't just rush it and throw it out the door to meet the deadline (which happens all too often as it is).

You guys still have at least 3 months before Nightfall is released. Plenty of time to do what you hope to accomplish in game. Hopefully the PvE in Nightfall is better than that in Factions, and I also hope we get some new abilities and skills to use in PvP.

I'll be pre-ordering Nightfall, but I still have a TON of Prophesies content to see and explore as well as a bunch of Factions still to go.
I'm a PvEer and a casual GWer. I have another MMO that I play more often usually and I enjoy several offline games.
I just see it as a nice add, but by the time Chapter 4 hits I might be getting into Chapter 3. Good to see that I'll always have something waiting

this is a very good way to KILL this game
i do not feel i got i money's worth from factions.... it felt too much like a $20 expansion not a $50 new game and now we're getting yet another game. I've had fun with guild wars but i wont let a game pull me around. If they start making rushed new games that rely on new professions and skills to force people who want to stay competitive to buy it, I will simply stop play guild wars.

If GW:F was released next weekend... too soon. Next weekend is only the midway point though. Keep in mind also that the six month mark falls right at Halloween time. If they're on track and assuming that they will have an event again, I can see them waiting on release until after that, putting it somewhere in mid November.
I don't feel like I do things at an extreme pace, yet I just took out Shiro with my 4th character last night. My fifth is at Unwaking Waters and my sixth is at Eternal Grove. I should be done with all of them by next weekends event (except 5 of 6 will need to do either Gyala or Eternal depending on which side I took them through - but not necessary). Even while doing the missions for myself I've done all of them countless times again to help guildees.
So, over three months left to do some more capping, farming and help guildees with missions without any new PvE content will start to feel like a very long time. Anet can't wait to release new chapters until every single person is ready. They use the term "for dedicated players." Dedicated players have no problems getting through the PvE content in six months. If someone chooses to spend their time repeatedly chest running, farming, running and other things of this type for gold, the reason for not being ready becomes obvious. If you don't have the time to play enough to finish, this too is not a reason to extend the release cycle. Guild Wars doesn't shut down when you log off. Stuff continues to happen... people do quests and missions, earn gold and slowly become ready for the next chapter.

There is only 1 bar that is PvP usable fore the Sin/Rit. I think we found everything that's going to be "discovered" with these classes. They have one specific job to do so you want to do it the best you can. That means there is going to be an efficient bar to run and everything else will be subpar.
Only the core classes are ment to be flexible. Bring on C3.

If you're saying that Nightfall is coming just in time, or even too late, ask yourself: would you have said the same thing about Factions only three months after Prophecies was released?
That's where the real problem lies. Factions is much smaller than Prophecies, so "blow through it" people get bored of it much faster while the "explore it fully" people don't get enough time with the 6 month release schedule. Worse, Factions was designed to last less than Prophecies in order to support the 6 month release schedule. I know it's a business decision and all, but that's my main disappointment with Factions. I am convinced it would have been a better game if it was scaled as Prophecies was.
So, personally, I believe that Nightfall comes too soon, but from the standpoint of the altered business model it comes just in time. It only matters whether you, personally, can live with the 6 month schedule, or whether it's too short for you.
Prophecies gave enough time for both the PvP and the PvE players to explore the game fully, as evidenced by multiple "abuses" (gryphon farming in PvE, ranger spirit spamming in PvP) and "loopholes" people managed to uncover over the year it was out. In Factions, PvE content was scaled down to support the release schedule, but the PvP content was only increased, to compensate and provide alternatives in the endgame.
My opinion is that unless the content of all successive chapters is scaled down significantly they will not be able to fit the release schedule, which will lead to people skipping chapters and hurting ANet's business model. But if the content is indeed decreased, that will likely cause disappointment in the community and hurt ANet's business model due to quitting.
It's a catch-22 that only exists because ANet didn't release Factions last November: the players expected Factions to be on the same level in all manners as Prophecies was, and the reality is that from now on, unless ANet goes back to the 1 year release schedule, no chapter will repeat the success of Prophecies. Factions is setting the tone for all future chapters because it's the first 6-month chapter, and I don't like it.
But I will buy Nightfall in the hope that I am proven wrong.

I'm just glad the Nightfall PvP preview event is coming out next week. The release of Nightfall, which will probably come out October or November, doesn't seem too soon for me anymore. Factions has been somewhat disappointing/boring and I hope Nightfall will live up to Prophecies or better.

I do think they should stick to a 1 per year basis. The last thing ADD teenagers need is a reason to be LESS patient. My main issue is the spread of players. If they start having the games so close together, get a PUG to do Prophecies Missions will be impossible.
It would be nice if there where a way to sell new content to be used in the old areas. Having 900000000 areas & missions you'll need enough people to fill them all. I don't know what they can do about it. Maybe sell Race packs/ new classes, weapons & items.. idunno..

i think it is a little soon, but I am looking forward to it anyway, more time to understand the recent class additions would be good and I also think that too many new areas will mean too few pick up players to allow solo play if none of ur friends/ guild r on-line. look at unwaking waters, without prior arrangement never anyone there...

Think about the timeline and quit ya whing ... they'll be sticking to 6 months...
so ya get a sneaky peeky...and what does the sneeky peey ACTUALLY do?
Whets your appetite yada yada....
Gives ANet a heap of balancing data they can play with till the end of August....a bunch of final testing for Sept and last preps thru Oct ready for Final presing for release (6 weeks roughly for a decent sized CD and print [manuals etc - if not already done]run) so maybe mid Nov early Dec release...ooh just n time for Xmas ... how fortunate....
SO! Get a grip ... use ya brain and stop the awful noise you make about too soon this and blah blah that ,.... its ANNOYING!
Understand the nature of the process BEFORE you whinge about it.
Thats My (and Jack Daniels) 10 cents worth

I didn't buy factions because of the price cost, its way to expensive for what it has to offer. It should of been 19.99....
Yeah nightfall seems to be way to early, I can tell by the designs of the new classes. They are very poorly designed(cosmetically). Looks very rushed.

12 months to fully discover 6 professions, and 6 months to fully discover 2 professions. Do the math...Don't worry about this, there's enough time to fully discover these proffesions.

It's perfect to me, 6 months is enough to discover the full content of a Factios like map, and this way, I'll never get bored.

This might be possible, but I just hope ANet will continue to work on the balance as much as they can.

Actually, I think this is pretty lame. Of course, it doesn't have a monthly fee, but with a chapter every 6 months, you're paying just as much for a game with monthly fee. I don't mind paying this much, but ANet spams everywhere that it doesn't have monthly fee, but that really isn't much like this.
